Waitakere Gymnastics Club News
15th April, 2012
Dear Parents,
Welcome Back to Term 2……
Welcome to all our new members and returning gymnasts, we hope you have enjoyed your Easter break and are ready to start the term with enthusiasm.
We have a lot coming up this term, competitions begin for the competitive kids, and it is important that they attend as many scheduled training sessions as possible so they can be ready and confident.
Recreational gymnasts will have badge testing at the end of the term along with continued assessments.
Enclosed is your child’s invoice for term 2. If your child is not returning can you please advise Louise in the office so we can reverse the invoice. It takes a lot of time following up unpaid invoices.
The Club understands that not all families are able to pay their fees on time (which are due within the first few weeks of the term). If you need to discuss payment options or would like to arrange a payment plan, please contact Louise.
If your contact details have changed please advise us as we send a lot of information by email so if you are not receiving any, please check to see if we have the correct details. Our email address is office@waitakeregymnastics.co.nz.
Also look out for new info on our website.
Parents must not drop your children off any earlier than 10 minutes before their class begins unless you have made prior arrangement with the office. Some children have been arriving an hour before class which causes issues with their safety and is not appropriate.
Children must wait upstairs until their class begins. Coaches will call the gymnasts down when the previous class has left.
Viewing if you wish to watch your child’s class and have other children, it would be a good idea to bring a quiet activity to do upstairs with them. There is to be no running or jumping upstairs as the office and coaches cannot concentrate downstairs. Olympic Park is a nearby option as well. Gym Area there are to be no parents or siblings in the gym while classes are on. The exception to this is the preschool classes which require parental involvement.
Please ensure your child waits inside the gym building at night, either upstairs or in
the foyer, we do not want any children waiting outside the gym.
We have Entertainment books for sale. You can order them through the office. They cost $65 and you receive over $15,000 of valuable offers.
We value your support!!
There are also Bromeliads for sale for $5 each (they retail for $20).
Come and have a look!!!
There will be a Goody Hamper valued at $500 to be awarded to the family that fundraises the most this year so get stuck in and support your club you could be a winner.
On the 5th May we are holding a mock competition for our competitive gymnasts from 12pm onwards. Come along and see their gym routines and support the Club. Entry fee is a gold coin donation and we will be running our Canteen upstairs.
