KELLY ADLINGTON

KELLY
Kelly is a Waitakere Gymnastics native, starting out in our recreational gymnastics as a young girl before moving on to the competitive stream over a period of a few years. Kelly then became a junior coach in her early teens, attending courses and gaining valuable experience.
In 2004, Kelly spent two years travelling New Zealand with Weber Bros Circus performing in the Splash Tour.
In 2006, Kelly took a break to have her two children, Ibeliz and Maseo and then returned to coaching at Waitakere. Kelly’s kids are often in the gym.
Over the years, Kelly has coached Pre-school, Gym Fun, Recreational, Pre-Comp and Competitive gymnastics and she has a wealth of knowledge, that our gymnasts all benefit from.
"I also have had the opportunity to work with children with special needs on a one-on-one basis and I found this truly rewarding. I'm currently working with all the General Gym codes and I'm particularly proud of the growth of the Pre-school programme."
More recently, Kelly has taken on more of an administrative role, overseeing programme planning and class content within the Club, to ensure a high level of gymnastics is being taught across all classes and streams.
“I’m looking forward to being part of the next chapter of the Club and the continued growth and success of Waitakere Gymnastics.”
